Summary
Nearby is a personal exercise to see how a twitter-based app can enhance profile that are managed by businesses and venues. Think of it as a marriage between Yelp & Twitter.
Problem | Issues
A lot of times when users go to restaurants, cafes, or random places, one of the first things they do is tweet about it.
A lot of businesses are able to communicate with their followers through short tweets. However the business account is still treated as a regular user account, when most of the time the businesses are sharing news about their products or retweeting user's reviews.

Tasks & Stories
Scenarios I wanted this design to cater for:
- Users can check the nearby feed for businesses around them and see relevant tweets.
- Users can check the business profile for more detailed info.
- Businesses can add the hours, phone numbers and other information they see relevant.
- The business profile will be a set of reviews, photos and tweets the business decides to promote.

badge systemIntroducing the badge system creates an incentive for users to tweet and review. Every time a user tweets a review about a business he increases the bar to get a new badge on twitter.
This allows users to see the level of each reviewer and how reliable they are as a source of information. |
